Make sure the question is unique:
The very first thing you should think about is the question you are asking. Try to ask a unique question. According to a survey, most of the polls and surveys failed to attract people towards them and get their opinion just because of the common and non-attractive question or title of the poll and survey. Therefore, try to ask a unique question.
Keep your poll very simple:
The second most important thing you should care about is that keep your poll or survey very simple and short. Don’t ask very long questions with more than 4 options. Because people usually don’t even read the very long statements unless they have their own benefit in it. And also try to use simple language in your survey, in both the question and options. Making your survey question simple and short will help you in attracting people to your poll.
Ask direct questions:
In your poll try to ask questions directly. For example, instead of asking, “How often are you particularly averse to risky situations?” try to ask “How often do you take risks?”. You can see that the first question is not simple and interesting. Where the second question is simple, direct and attracting people towards it. Just like this, try to make your questions and statements easy to read and direct.
Ask a question at a time:
In your poll or survey try to ask one question at a time and don’t ask multiple questions. For example, don’t ask “Which cereal do you think is the healthiest and most delicious?”, try to ask “Which cereal is your favorite?”. You can see that the first statement contains two question in it. where the second statement contains just one question. Therefore, the second question is easy to answer than the first one.
Don’t offer too many options:
The most common mistake we all make while posting a poll is that we add too many options to our poll. One thing we all should keep in mind is that adding too many options will make people confused. Therefore, try to keep your question simple and limit the number of options.
