5 secret techniques to improve free poll

If you are going to post an online poll or a survey to get suggestions of other people, then try to follow these 5 things. They will help you to improve your free poll.

Ask the right type of question:

The thing that matters the most in polls and surveys is the question you are asking the people. Why the question matters the most? The question matters the most because it is the thing about which you are asking the people to give their opinion. Therefore, try to ask a right type of question with a simple and short statement. Another thing to keep in mind is that try to make your question unique. Because people will attract towards the unique and catchy titles.

Avoid biased questions:

In your poll, while asking a question you usually get failed just because of the biasedness of the question. For example, try to use “How often do you feel Channel 6 News’ weather forecasting is accurate?” instead of, “Channel 6 News’ weather forecasting is heralded by many as being the most accurate forecasting in this area. In your opinion, how often do you feel Channel 6’s weather forecasting is accurate?”. I have written two types of statements above but why should you use the first one? You should use the first statement because it is not biased. You can see the biasedness of the second statement, in which at first I was claiming that the Channel 6 News’ weather forecasting is accurate but then I was asking for your opinion. This biasedness can affect the opinions of others.

Ask a question at a time:

In your poll or survey try to ask one question at a time and don’t ask multiple questions. For example, don’t ask “Which cereal do you think is the healthiest and most delicious?”, try to ask “Which cereal is your favorite?”. You can see that the first statement contains two question in it. where the second statement contains just one question. Therefore, the second question is easy to answer than the first one.

Speak your respondent’s language:

While asking a question, always use a language that the respondent will understand better. For example, you should ask “Which of these fast-food restaurants is closest to where you live?” instead of “Consider your geographic area within a range of 20 miles. Which of these fast-food restaurants is closest in proximity to your residence?”. If you see the second question, it’s just more technical then the first one. You cannot ask this question to anyone except the technical person.

Make use of yes/no questions:

To make your poll successful, try to ask the yes/no type of questions. For example, try to ask “Does the traffic on Highway 49 frustrate you?” instead of asking “How pleased or displeased are you with the traffic on Highway 49?”. Because the answer to the first type of questions is just in the form of yes and no and really easy for people to answer.
